New Biological Insecticide Bt Effective Pest Control with No Residue

Because of this, the agriculture sector has also promoted the use of biological insecticides to achieve pesticide residue-free production.
Bacterial Protein as Main Component
To meet market needs, Advansia specially introduced a new biological insecticide developed by Japan’s Sumitomo company: Bacillus thuringiensis, commonly known as Bt.
This new biological insecticide is mainly composed of bacterial proteins. With its highly concentrated active ingredients, it has been well received by Malaysian farmers because it can effectively control pests while leaving no residue. This is exactly what people describe as leaving without a trace.
Harmless to Humans and Livestock
This new biological insecticide Bt only acts on target pests and is harmless to humans and livestock. Many farmers may also be curious about how it controls pests.
Simply put, biological insecticide Bt only becomes active when it encounters an alkaline environment, which happens to match the alkaline digestive system of pests. Once pests feed on vegetables sprayed with Bt, the alkaline environment in their stomach dissolves and activates Bt. The pests will then immediately stop feeding and eventually die from starvation and stomach poisoning.
Safe Harvest Period Is 0 Days
Farmers know that agricultural departments around the world have strict requirements for pesticide residues on exported vegetables and fruits. Once residue testing exceeds the standard, the produce may be rejected or destroyed.
As a new-generation biological insecticide, Bt has a safe harvest period of 0 days. This means crops can be harvested and supplied to the market at any time after spraying. This not only solves farmers’ concerns about pesticide residue, but also helps increase yield and harvest income.
The new biological pesticide Bt can control various pests, including diamondback moth, armyworm, and bagworm on oil palm. The recommended dosage is 10ml mixed with 10 litres of water for vegetable crops, or 40ml mixed with 10 litres of water for bagworm control on oil palm.
