Advansia at the 8th BGR Durian Festival & Awards 2026

Advansia was proud to participate in the 8th BGR Durian Festival & Awards 2026, held on 3 July 2026 at Bangi Golf Resort. The event brought together leading durian growers, agricultural professionals and industry partners to celebrate the quality and potential of Malaysia’s durian industry.

This year’s World Durian Championship received 192 entries, evaluated by judges from Malaysia, China, Japan and Singapore across five categories. The overall “King of Kings” title was awarded to a Black Thorn durian produced by Tuah Hayati Sdn Bhd from Bera, Pahang.

During the event, Advansia showcased its agricultural and crop-protection solutions while engaging directly with growers and visitors. The team also shared practical knowledge on durian cultivation and supported selected award winners with Advansia product packages.

Advansia Managing Director Mr Lam Chin Hee highlighted that producing quality durians begins with selecting suitable planting materials, followed by appropriate soil conditions and a sufficient water supply. He also emphasised the importance of proper drainage, as stagnant water can increase the risk of diseases affecting durian trees.

The event provided a valuable platform for Advansia to strengthen relationships with growers, understand their cultivation challenges and support the continued development of Malaysia’s premium durian sector.
